
Greywater can be used in areas that are prone to drought, and is regularly used in third world countries, however, its use is becoming more popular in the United States as well.
There are a couple of different types of greywater, treated and untreated. While treated greywater can be stored, untreated must be used immediately.
Differing opinions exist when it comes to the use of greywater. There are those that are pro greywater usage because it can be used as a non-potable water source both inside and outside of the home. Then there are those that are opposed to its use, as they believe it would be easier to quickly spread disease.
